Can y’all believe it’s already been 4 weeks?! This weight loss challenge with Orangetheory Fitness is FLYING by! But anyways, let’s get down to the nitty gritty from this week.
If you read about week 3 of the weight loss challenge, you know that I am now considered a runner instead of a power walker! Like WHAT?! I still can’t believe it, to be honest! There hasn’t really been a time in my life where the term ‘runner’ was in my vocabulary… to describe me. I mean, I have ran before, obviously LOL. And I’ve tried
So week 4 has been all about maintaining my ability to run! I have been able to maintain my base pace at a slow job pretty easily! So this week has been all about increasing my push pace. And today’s workout definitely showed me that I am completely capable of going faster.
Today was an endurance day, and I ran faster than I have at a push pace and maintained that pace much longer than I thought I could! My performance summary from today definitely reflects the fact that I pushed myself LOL.
Earning 30 splat points today is killer. I only needed 12 in order to experience the afterburn! Just as a reminder, splat points are a total of how many minutes you spend in the orange zone and the red zone combined. I spent 30! This means I spent most of my time today in my push pace, which is exactly what I was looking to accomplish!
With that being said, I have 2 more weeks in this weight loss challenge. I’m ready to step it up. In both my workouts… and my diet. Now that’s the real challenge.
