HELL WEEK: WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE WEEK 5

It’s hell week at Orangetheory Fitness. That means that this week is going to consist of the most challenging workouts of the year. So of course, considering I’m in the weight loss challenge, I decided to challenge myself to go to 5 of these workouts. Keep in mind I typically only go three times a week, so this is definitely going to be the most challenging week yet.

I’ve already attended two hell week classes. Both yesterday and today. This is also the first time that I have ever attended a class two day in a row… And I’m going again tomorrow. I’m already incredibly sore, but I’m still def going tomorrow! This might be the week I see the most changes in my body. I hope so anyway!!

Yesterday’s workout was insane. At least I thought so. It was half rowing and half sprints combined with 4 different kinds of burpees. Definitely the most challenging day for me yet. Burpees and rowing are prob my least favorite type of exercise… I suppose that’s because they work the most LOL. It definitely pushed me though!!

I’m actually wanting to go back to The Oasis to take another photo like this either right after my weight loss challenge or a little while later. Perhaps every 3 months take another shot here. But anyway, back to discussing the many different adventures of hell week…

I much preferred today’s workout. It still definitely qualified as hell week status though haha. We had sixteen all outs today on the treadmill. SIXTEEN. Although it was def kind of nice because we got some walking recoveries in there.

It made me feel powerful. That’s how running makes me feel now. And I’ve never felt that before. I’ve been noticing that my mindset is changing. The way I see workouts, the way I see running… it’s changing. It’s changing for the better. If you remember my post from week 1, you’ll know that running has never been my strong suit. And tbh, I’ve never really looked forward to it. But I’m starting to and it’s truly an amazing feeling. I didn’t think I would ever consider myself a ‘runner,’ but maybe I’m about to become one?

On another note, I always always always see more changes in my body when I start running. If you’ve been neglecting running, start it up again. I promise you, it’s one of the best workouts for your body. It makes you feel like you’re on top of the world.
