I can’t be the only one who has been exhausted for what seems like a million years. And I can’t be the only one who struggles to make myself look awake, let alone presentable, when I’ve really only gotten about 4 hours of sleep over the course of a week.
Since I’m constantly on the go (and chronically running late to everything whoops), I’m pretty much always tired. Luckily, I’ve picked up a few tips & tricks that help me look bright eyed and bushy tailed, even when I’m still half asleep. Just… don’t talk to me until I’ve had coffee, OK?
Whoever came up with this little contraption is a GENIUS. Idk about you but when I haven’t been sleeping, my face gets so puffy, and I basically look like a balloon. And don’t even get me started on how puffy my eyes get. But this eye roller is a LIFE SAVER. It totally takes away all the puffiness in about 3 minutes. Not only does it deflate my face, but it actually helps me FEEL more awake and energized because of the cold temp. I’m obsessed and I think everyone needs one of these.
Yes, another roller. But for good reason. If you want to look more awake, you’ve got to get that lymphatic drainage out. This combined with the ice roller is basically a combination made in heaven. Not only that, but this fights fine lines and wrinkles. YES, PLEASE!
If you want to look more awake, you have GOT to get yourself a good hydrating serum that you apply right after you cleanse your skin in the morning. I highly recommend this one with high-powered hyaluronic acid, which is 50x more powerful than any regular hyaluronic acid. This serum is going to plump your skin from the inside out and give yourself the most radiant complexion. You want to know what makes tired skin stand out the most? DEHYDRATED skin aka dull, lackluster.. The key to making yourself look more awake is to have a radiant, HYDRATED complexion. You need this.
Rohto eye drops
Okay, so fun fact. I used to HATE putting anything in my eyes, so eye drops were a no go. But when I started using these Rohto eye drops, I instantly fell in love. They have a cooling sensation to them which helps to wake me up AND they take away any redness in my eyes from exhaustion. When I say my eyes look BRIGHT, I mean it… they turn super white. If you haven’t tried these yet, I highly recommend you do so ASAP. They are fantastic and a staple in my every day routine.
HYDRATING eye cream
Girlfriend, you have got to get yourself an eye cream that does all the things. This one brightens, depuffs, hydrates, gets rid of your dark circles, and fights against fine lines and wrinkles. Umm… yes, please! I need all of the above. Especially on the days that I’m exhaustion. Give me all the things. If you haven’t noticed, I pretty live for anything that will give me a good depuffing moment.
If your eye cream just isn’t hiding that darkness under your eyes, I highly recommend putting away that full coverage concealer and grabbing yourself a good color corrector. I know you want to hide alllll that darkness, but full coverage concealers under the eyes have a tendency to look dry and cakey, which will only cause you to look more tired (who knew?!). Using a color corrector instead of a concealer has been one of the best transitions I have made in my daily routine. I have recently just started using this one and I don’t think I’ll be using anything else any time soon. I LOVE that it hides my darkness, looks like my skin, has anti-aging benefits, AND sun protection. We CANNOT forget the sun protection under our eyes — that’s where we age the fastest!
BRUSH YOUR BROWS UP
Okay, this is super simple yet such a game-changer. Brush up your eyebrows with a spoolie and your face will all of a sudden have a more lifted affect, which we LOVE. This will almost instantly make you look more awake.
